im writing this from the future it seems but no better time than the present and well i need to have something on this website for it to work? right?

december was a beautiful whirlwind of a month. it was filled with family, friends, creativity. it started with a trip down south to visit dear friends hillary + joe who have been settling into their new life in north carolina. hillary + joe were our neighbors across the street here in philadelphia for some time while joe finished his phd. on that, i had originally been nervous about spending much time with them and getting to know them as it felt they would inevitably leave. instead we continued to be friends and even after moving we have stayed in touch. a good lesson that just because someone isnt going to be there forever doesnt mean you shouldnt invest in something that could be truly great. blue_ridge_j_h_2025 recording_with_joe_2025 during my time in the blue ridge mountains hillary + joe took me around to swelling views. joe and i recorded a small self-release of my two 2025 releases on tape we also had the joy of helping hillary with a market of her ceramics huzzah_books_set_pov\ and i performed a set at the magical huzzah books. the weekend was packed, but it was so filling (both in friendship and food). the rest of december was filled with holidays. hosting family for hannukah and the usual christmas string of visits with kayla's family. all warm and cozy. all big love. hanukkah was a traditional jewish meal of...pasta in vodka sauce and caesar salad...ive been honing my vodka sauce and its my brothers favorite iteration of the dish so i *had* to make it naturally. hannukah_dinner xmas_eve december was really inspiring with community contribution and im hoping to really carry this into 2026. it might feel counter intuitive that im starting *this* and deleting some socials. woudlnt that be removing myself from community contribution? well. i dont know. socials often feel contrived (which i suppose im contriving this here). but for some odd reason *this* feels more intentional. maybe im just hoping to give updates to community outside of the usual meta ecosystem. either way i hope youll be there. youre all stars in the new year.
